"Why pay rental on a bank debit machine that does nothing but cost money every transaction, everyday, every month after month, after year? "I have been using Debitmaster for 2 years and have, in all honesty, only had 3 people complain about the 25 cent convenience fee. My regular customers understand that banking fees keep rising that, small businesses cannot keep paying all the banking fees. The 25 cents does not bother my customers at all. Now there is no minimum purchase, so who cares if a customer uses the their debitcard to buy just a pop because with the Debitmaster terminal, bank fees no longer bite into the profits and you make money on each transaction. "Medicine Hat has a population of less then 50,000 and if I had a store in Vancouver I wouldn't blink an eye. I would have one in Vancouver too! If your potential customers called me I would tell them to look at their bank statements. Just ask them what they paid to the banks. I received a cheque from Debitmaster for $900.00 for the last quarter. When has a bank ever paid us?"

I started out at charging my clients a 25 cents convenience fee, and you were right ... my clients had absolutely no problems in paying that fee.
